2010 Soccer Must See Destinations- Moyo

From the decor to the food you are enveloped into a unique cultural world of dance, music, and traditions.<br /><br />When you walk in you are greeted by ladies in full traditional gear and accompanied to your seats. Depending on the location of the Moya Restaurant you choose, there are restaurants in 4 provinces, this could be anywhere from inside, overlooking the ocean to in a tree house. <br /><br />The food is authentic African cuisine with a wide variety of dishes and at certain venues, like Spier Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, there is a buffet with options for even the pickiest eater. When I went overseas for the first time I was in the air for 20 hrs. As such I have learnt that there are certain "must have items" that are necessary for a comfotable journey.<br /><br />1.) Facial wipes - they are multifunction, easy to use and refreshing.<br /><br />2.) Neck pillow - but not just any one. The one that I swear by takes up more space then your average blow up one but is so worth it. The one side of it is "swollen" so that your head can actually fall and rest to one side comfotably as opposed to flop from side to side as you fall asleep.<br /><br />3.) Sandals - for a long flight its so much more comfotable to be wearing open shoes and also eliminates the odour factor of taking of closed shoes. Also, if you are flying to the United States you are required to remove your shoes at security check points and sandals thatyou can slip off make life so much easier.<br /><br />4.) Money belt - while not very attract they are very functional when it comes to keeping your money and passport safe while you sleep on the plane. I have a slim travel one and what I normally do is carry it in my carry on until I am on the plane then discreetly slide it on under my top so that when I fall asleep I know everything is safe. Also should anything happen to my carry on I'm not stranded. <br /><br />5.) Pashmina - these are multifunctional and really useful to have. The can double as a shawl or light weight blanket or scarf for when you reach your destination if it is chilly.<br /><br />6.) Sudoku - I am a huge fan of sudoku and it actually hapened when i purchase one at an airport shop to keep me busy on the plane. I've been an addict ever since. Great for when you can't sleep or are tired of watching movies.<br /><br />7.) Book/journal - reading and writing are also great things to do on a plane to pass the time and i always carry both so that I have options.<br /><br />8.) Location - whilst window seats definately have their upsides on a flight of 20 hrs you are better off on an isle seat. You can get up and go to the bathroom without disturbing anyone, you can reach into the stow away compartment to get any itens you need and you can simply get up to strech your legs at any point during the flight.<br /><br /><i>These are are a few of my tried and tested airplane must have, what are yours? What to wear when visiting South Africa

Or more specifically, Cape Town South Africa. Having travel a little, in North America, I have a renewed awe for the beauty that is the Cape and have decided its time to spend this years summer holiday being "a tourist" in my own city. Many of these things I've done over the years but not recently and as these are such fabulous fun places to go to, and as my boyfriend has not done some of them, I think its time to do it all again :)<br /><br />The one problem with Cape Town and its surrounds is that the weather is SO unpredictable and you can often have all 4 seasons in a single day! A real nightmare to dress for when you heading out for the day. So, I have put together a "capsule wardrobe" for visiting South Africa in the spring (starts in September) to summer (ends around April) months.<br /><br /><div><a href="http://www.polyvore.com/what_to_wear_south_africa/set?.mid=embed&id=10875902"><img alt="What to wear to South Africa" border="0" height="400" src="http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-set/BQcDAAAAAwoDanBnAAAABC5vdXQKFk5Qb0VYWDlfM2hHc3JBN2FkbEx1bEEAAAACaWQKAWUAAAAEc2l6ZQ.jpg" title="What to wear to South Africa" width="400" /></a><br /><small><a href="http://www.polyvore.com/what_to_wear_south_africa/set?.mid=embed&id=10875902">What to wear to South Africa</a> by <a href="http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/profile?.mid=embed&id=799288">**eLLa**</a> featuring <a href="http://www.polyvore.com/forever21/shop?brand=Forever21&category_id=2">Forever21</a></small><br /></div><br /><br />The best way to deal with the potential "all weather day" is to layer. As it gets extremely hot in the height of summer which would be December through to the end of February its advisable to pack light airy fabrics that breath thus also allowing for the odd day when things get a bit cooler as you can layer thinner fabrics. Also be warned that even though its summer, Cape Town is known as the windy city. It can be relentless and for this reason tights to be worn under dresses and skirts is a must have.<br /><br />So, working out way down the list of items:<br /><br />1.) a variety of cute casual tops in different colours and styles that can be layered<br /><br />2.) cute sundresses are a must if visit during the height of summer as they keep you cool<br /><br />3.) a variety of shorts and skirts are also a good idea as well as jeans for evening when it gets cooler<br /><br />4.) as the weather is unpredictable I would suggest bringing one coat or windbreaker for the cooler days and evenings for when going out and a jacket for during the day for just in case<br /><br />5.) flat shoes are your best bet as there will be a lot of walking and sight seeing and a lot of the fun things to do are outside and include water, sand and mountains ;)<br /><br />6.) lastly, the small essential items that you will need are, a big spacious handbag (with a zip - safety reasons), sunglasses, an umbrella and as mentioned before tights wear under dresses and skirts<br /><br />So this  is what you should pack if you coming to South Africa this up coming Summer. I volunteered to do a "<a href="http://theglamourousgradstudent.blogspot.com/2009/07/city-chic-needs-you.html">City Chic</a>" article over at the <a href="http://theglamourousgradstudent.blogspot.com/">Glamourous Grad Student</a> and embarrassed to say that its been a whil and haven't completed my article but I will be putting the finishing touches on it so keep you eyes peeled for a "City Chic" article in the next week which will complement this article nicely.
